Fruity-Carob Bar - Dehydrator

3/4 cup dried apples
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup dried pears
3/4 cup dried peaches
1/2 cup dried dates
1/2 cup dried pineapple
1 cup almonds
1-1/3 cups carob chips
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Use a Juicer Blender or Open Country® Food Grinder to grind fruit, almonds and 1/3 cup of carob chips. In a separate bowl, mix remaining carob chips, pineapple juice, wheat germ and almond extract together. Combine second mixture with the first. If too dry, add more juice. Form into bars and place on solid fruit roll sheets. Place sheets in your Open Country® Dehydrator on dehydrator trays and dry at 135 F. for 2-1/2 hours or until firm enough to cut into 2" pieces. Then dry for 2-1/2 hours longer.

Makes 30 bars.
