Griddle Biscuits - Camping

1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 unbleached white flour
1 Tablespoon wheat germ
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
Few grains sea salt
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
2/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cornmeal

Preheat Open County® Griddle over medium-low flame.
Mix wheat & white flours, wheat germ, baking powder & sea salt, cut in butter or margarine, add milk. Stir very briefly & turn onto a lightly floured board. Knead for a few seconds, then roll out into 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick. Cut dough into 12 pieces. Separate biscuits. Lightly sprinkle griddle with the cornmeal. Bake biscuits for 5 minutes on one side, then turn & cook 5 minutes more.
Makes 1 dozen biscuits.
